UPPER SCHOOL (6TH-12TH) Service Levels

Tuition rates listed below reflect the typical services provided at each support level. These charges are in addition to the standard tuition rates and will be added to the FACTS tuition plan selected in enrollment. Financial aid may be available based on demonstrated financial need. In some cases, charges may be adjusted to reflect the specific services outlined in the student’s Individualized Learning Plan in consultation with school personnel and parents.

  • Standard: $1,750.00 annually
    • Individualized Learning Plan – Each student will receive a personalized plan as described above.
    • Advocacy and Availability - The special services personnel will work the student, parents, and teachers to ensure that accommodations and modifications listed in the student’s plan are provided and effective.
    • Modification Assistance – Classroom teachers may provide accommodations and modifications as set out in the plan. If the classroom teacher is unable to provide the agreed modifications and accommodations, the Program Personnel will assist in implementation, either at the request of the teacher or in the determination of the Special Services Coordinator and/or Principal that assistance is necessary.
    • Direct Student Intervention - One-on-one and small group tutoring, reading tests aloud, and assistance with assignments as needed and available.

  • Optional Services: Additional Charges Apply - The following services are available in addition to standard Special Services Program offerings. These supports may be recommended based on the student’s needs and are selected in consultation with the Program Coordinator and parents. Fees are annual and in addition to both base LCS tuition and standard special services charges.
    • Self-Paced Online Classes ($500 annually per class) – In some circumstances it is beneficial for a student to take an online class in lieu of the traditional LCS classroom setting to allow the student time to work at a flexible pace or revisit topics that need more work. Online classes also give the student freedom to work outside of the 45-minute class period allowing for completion at home and during the summer. Special Services personnel will monitor these classes in the lab and answer questions or assist students as needed. LCS will determine the appropriate online classes available, and parents choosing this option will purchase the required software directly. The student login must be shared with LCS to ensure we have access to work and grades and can monitor progress and provide assistance.
    • Reading Therapy/Dyslexia Remediation ($500 annually) – Students with dyslexia or those needing reading intervention (below grade-level) may benefit from this program. The program will be outside of regular class time, likely at 8:00 each morning. This online program will be administered by the Special Services Coordinator in the lab. Because LCS has acquired a substantial discount by purchasing this program in bulk through the school, parents who choose to participate will pay LCS for the cost rather than incur the cost of the individual program.
